Clients are empowered to resolve their own problems wherever possible; those requiring more support from our generalist advisers have casework undertaken on their behalf. We also run financial capability training, and debt management, sessions, in collaboration with local partners, to prevent subsequent financial problems developing.
By offering advice across key areas such as benefits, debt, housing and employment, we bring about positive changes in people’s lives. This ranges from tangible outcomes, such as maximising household income and improving health and well-being, through to intangible assistance, such as improving family relationships.
We also highlight issues requiring broader changes for the local community. Our clients’ stories give us a wealth of insight into the challenges faced by local residents, and we work closely with partners in local government, and other agencies, to improve the policies and practices that affect the local population.
