Arun & Chichester Food Partnership

The Arun & Chichester Food Partnership was set up in November 2020 with the initial aims of alleviating the rising food poverty in the region and tackling its root causes. It has since broadened its reach to explore wider food systems issues, with a vision for:

  • No one to go hungry.
  • Everyone to have access to good quality food.
  • People to grow, share and learn together to create skilled, fulfilled and nourished communities.
  • A real commitment to reduce the environmental impact of food production, procurement, consumption and waste.

School staff survey: food, hunger and support

Do you work in a school setting or know anyone that does? We would love to hear from teachers and other support staff working in the Arun and Chichester area as we are look to learn from the experiences of teachers and support staff about how the cost-of-living crisis is impacting pupils and their families. National research has shown how schools and teachers are providing more and more support with food and other essentials, and we want to understand if this reflects the local picture. If you work in an education setting and can spare 3-5 minutes, please can you complete this survey and share with your colleagues and friends. The more responses we get the better we can understand the situation and support a local response. Please click here to complete the survey. Thank you!

Local Food Action Toolkit

Do you want to take action to improve local food issues, but not know where to start?

There are so many possible actions, many of which do not exist locally but are successful elsewhere. Our new Food Action Booklet explores many existing models, considerations, aims and possibilities, with practical case studies, examples and much more.

Some actions can be taken by one or two people, some will need much more, but hopefully this will inspire people to consider a wide range of actions that could be transformative locally. Read more here.
